Starting from a simple object, “rubber band,” this project focuses on portraying flexibility and adaptability within various fields and aspects. The project consists of two parts - print & digital.
Part 1 - In the first part of this project, the book, the concept of “Flexibility” is communicated through its form. Beginning with a small-sized book, the pages gradually stretch out to a large poster. The contents allow the readers to explore flexibility in various fields. There are a total of four sections following the same structure, and the four large posters connect to complete the message: “Adapt, Adjust, Align with Purpose.”
Part 2 - For the second part of this project, the digital, I designed a prototype in Figma. As a person who has lived and is still living in multiple countries with different cultures and languages, I wanted to share my own journey of flexibility through these experiences in my life. The diverse languages and cultural experiences have fueled flexibility in myself and have expanded my view of the world.
The digital part shares a similar mechanism with the book but with digital-specific interactions. It starts with simple, basic words, leading to more complex feelings and personal experiences that stimulated flexibility and shaped who I am today. It consists of three sections with a mix of three languages (Korean, English, and Chinese), with new languages being added as it progresses to the next section.
